Join our bustling logistics hub in San Francisco, California, as a Material Handler! We are looking for dedicated individuals to support our warehouse operations by safely and efficiently moving materials. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, transporting materials within the facility, and ensuring accurate inventory counts. This is a physically demanding position that requires stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure that all materials are handled correctly and efficiently to meet our clients' needs. Our San Francisco location is at the forefront of efficient distribution, and your role as a Material Handler is integral to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately recording received and shipped items.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting, following correct lifting techniques.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring materials are staged correctly for shipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and PPE.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting and manual tasks.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
