Our company is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. The Shipping Clerk will play a vital role in managing outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficiency in our logistics operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks, coordinate with various departments, and ensure that all shipments are processed correctly and on time. You will be the point person for ensuring that our products reach their destinations safely and efficiently. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation is essential. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our supply chain. - Preparing and documenting outbound shipments, including generating shipping labels and bills of lading.
- Verifying order accuracy against shipping documents.
- Coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Inspecting outgoing shipments for damage and ensuring proper packaging.
- Maintaining accurate shipping records and updating the warehouse management system.
- Communicating with customers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assisting with inventory management as needed.
- Troubleshooting shipping discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Identifying opportunities to improve shipping processes and efficiency.
- This role requires attention to detail and may involve some Lifting of packages.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals is necessary.
- A dedication to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines is expected.
- Understanding of international shipping procedures is a plus.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment is important.
