About
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our operational team at our Des Moines, Iowa warehouse. This role is key to the smooth functioning of our warehouse and logistics operations, involving the movement and handling of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on position that requires physical capability and a strong commitment to workplace safety . Your duties will include operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory within the warehouse. The role involves significant physical activity, including repetitive bending, stooping, and considerable lifting of items up to 60 pounds. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to all established safety procedures. Proper use of PPE , including safety shoes and gloves, is mandatory at all times. We are seeking a dependable individual with a positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team. Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred but not required, as we offer comprehensive training. Responsibilities include moving materials to and from production and storage areas, assisting with inventory counts, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, and ensuring all materials are handled correctly to prevent damage. Your role is essential for maintaining operational flow. We are dedicated to fostering a safe work environment and expect all employees to actively participate in safety initiatives and rigorously follow all safety protocols, including the consistent wear of required PPE .
