We are seeking a meticulous Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this dual role, you will be responsible for both accurately picking items for orders and then securely packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail is crucial for ensuring that customers receive the correct items in perfect condition. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack picked items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring adequate protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and labeling.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks to move inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents.
- Use appropriate PPE, including gloves and safety glasses.
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.
- Contribute to overall team goals and efficiency in the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity for Lifting and moving packages up to 45 lbs.
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
