We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. Your efficiency and **safety** consciousness directly impact our **logistics** operations and overall productivity. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to perform routine checks on forklifts, maintain a clean work area, and adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Perform daily **safety** inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all **safety** procedures and **PPE** guidelines.
- Assist with **Lifting** and manual handling when required.
- Ensure accurate **logistics** tracking of material movements.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or **safety** concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** regulations and **PPE**.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** and manual tasks as needed.
- Strong understanding of **logistics** operations.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
