Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all goods for any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any issues with received goods to the appropriate supervisor or department.
- Stage received items for put-away and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently when required.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Perform tasks that involve consistent lifting and physical labor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role within the logistics industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and warehouse management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inspection.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and product labels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is essential.
