Join our bustling warehouse in Chicago, Illinois, as a Material Handler! We are seeking dedicated individuals to assist in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our facility. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring that products are handled with care and accuracy from arrival to departure. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. You will operate various equipment, such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts, following all Safety guidelines. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a secure and organized workspace, and the use of required PPE is mandatory. This position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent Lifting of heavy items. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials.
- Sort and organize products within the warehouse.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear designated PPE .
- Assist with inventory management and tracking.
- Support the overall Logistics flow of goods.
- Perform tasks that require consistent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting , bending, and standing.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and basic Logistics principles.
- Commitment to following all Safety protocols and using required PPE .
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
