About
Our San Antonio, Texas, distribution center is looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our team. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, processing inventory adjustments, and ensuring that our inventory records are up-to-date and precise. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. Accurate inventory is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring we can meet customer demands efficiently. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to resolve any inventory-related issues. Adherence to all company Safety policies and the proper use of PPE are essential in this role. While not a physically demanding role, some manual Lifting may be required. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain and develop your skills in inventory control.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Enter inventory adjustments and updates into the WMS accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper inventory tracking.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records.
- Identify and report any damaged or expired stock.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory planning and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to perform some manual Lifting and operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
