About
Our Atlanta, Georgia facility requires a skilled Material Handler to manage the movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout our logistics chain. You will be responsible for operating equipment to move materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and keep the warehouse organized and safe. The ideal candidate has experience with various warehouse equipment and a strong commitment to safety.Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and tracking materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize material flow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) when necessary.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of inventory control and logistics principles.
