Join our growing team as a Picker/Packer in our San Francisco, California distribution center. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, have a keen eye for detail, and are committed to maintaining a safe working environment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating specific items within the warehouse, ensuring they match order requirements, and then securely packaging them for transit. This role demands physical stamina and a methodical approach to tasks. Success in this position contributes directly to customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our supply chain. We emphasize a strong culture of safety and provide all necessary training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scan data.
- Verify product codes and quantities before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using correct packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Assist with replenishing inventory in picking areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and dollies.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing targets within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a picker or packer is preferred but not required. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment. Basic reading and comprehension skills. Team player with good communication skills. Commitment to following safety protocols in a busy logistics environment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities. Understanding of warehouse operations and the importance of accuracy is key. Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
