We are hiring an Order Picker in our bustling Detroit, Michigan warehouse. This position is vital to our logistics operations, focusing on accurately selecting items for customer orders. You'll be responsible for navigating the warehouse, identifying the correct products, and preparing them for dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Read order tickets or use a scanner to identify items needed for orders.
- Retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify item counts and product codes to ensure accuracy.
- Package items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Transport picked items to the shipping area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Maintain tidiness and order in your assigned work zone.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the use of required PPE.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 45 lbs regularly. Requires keen attention to detail to minimize errors in order fulfillment. Experience with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment and meet productivity targets. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are important. Safety is paramount; all employees must follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times. This role is key to our supply chain efficiency.
