Job Summary:
Our Austin, Texas logistics facility is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring that inventory is properly received, inspected, and documented. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to upholding our high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming freight, verifying quantities and identifying any damages or discrepancies.
  • Scan and log all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Inspect goods for quality and conformity to specifications.
  • Properly store received items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring efficient organization.
  • Prepare receiving reports and communicate any issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, adhering to all company policies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support the overall logistics operations of the warehouse through efficient receiving processes.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is a strong asset.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring physical dexterity and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
