Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Security Architect
to support a major organisation within the
financial services industry , helping design and implement secure architectures across enterprise technology platforms. You will play a key role in embedding
secure-by-design principles
across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and data platforms while supporting complex transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop
secure architecture patterns
across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and data platforms.
Provide
architectural security guidance throughout the project lifecycle , including HLD and LLD reviews.
Conduct
threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis , ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies.
Define and maintain
security standards, policies, and guardrails
aligned to regulatory obligations such as GDPR and FCA.
Collaborate with
engineering, cloud, network, IAM, and operations teams
to embed secure-by-design practices.
Evaluate and guide implementation of
security technologies , including IAM, encryption, detection/response, and network security.
Provide
architectural support during security incidents and investigations .
Monitor emerging threats and continuously enhance the organisations security posture.
Required Experience
5+ years experience in
security architecture or security engineering .
Strong understanding of
security protocols, authentication/authorisation models, encryption, identity management, and cloud security patterns .
Experience producing
high-quality architecture documentation
(HLD, LLD, security patterns, data flows).
Hands-on understanding of
cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) .
Knowledge of
threat modelling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance frameworks .
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as
CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or cloud security certifications .
Experience within
regulated industries such as financial services .
Knowledge of
DevSecOps, API security, and secure software development practices .
