Software Development Team Leader – Embedded Systems Stevenage I’m working with a leading defence technology organisation looking for a Software Development Team Leader to support the delivery of on-board software (C, C++ and/or Ada) for next-generation missile systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software development background (C, C++ and/or Ada) who has moved into team leadership, or a senior developer ready to step into a leadership role while still staying close to the technology. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of embedded software engineers (C, C++ and/or Ada), ensuring software is delivered on time, on budget and to the required quality standards, while providing technical guidance and oversight across the development lifecycle. What they’re looking for: Experience leading or mentoring software developers Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle Some project planning or delivery experience Ability to communicate progress, risks and delivery updates Experience with UML and embedded development Knowledge of C, C++ and/or AdaThis is a great opportunity to work on highly advanced defence technology programmes in a collaborative engineering environment where software plays a critical role.
