Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Witney, OxfordshireJob Type: Permanent, Full TimeWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm An established UK-based engineering and manufacturing organisation is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing R&D team based in Witney, Oxfordshire. This is a newly created role due to continued business growth and offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative products used in global markets. The Role Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will work as part of a collaborative engineering team, contributing to both existing and new research and development projects. The role is hands-on and varied, involving product design, testing, and development from concept through to manufacture. Key Responsibilities: Design of new products and redesign of existing products Building and testing products throughout the design lifecycle Recording and reporting test results, including conclusions and next steps Producing bills of materials (BOMs) Working closely with other engineering team members to ensure project objectives are met Skills, Knowledge & Experience Engineering degree required (mechanical, electrical, or product design preferred) Relevant experience xbpsjku in product development R&D engineering experience desirable Experience using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred) Ability to read engineering drawings and carry out product testing Strong organisational, communication, and project management skills Able to work autonomously and use initiative, with clear and concise reporting Flexible, cooperative approach to teamwork
