TT-Line is one of the leading ferry companies in the Baltic Sea, using modern ferries between Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. TT-Line currently employs around 900 people on board and in the land offices in Travemünde, Rostock, Trelleborg, Karlshamn, Świnoujście / Szczecin and Klaipėda.

To strengthen our inspection team, we are looking at our headquarter in Lübeck, Travemünde as soon as possible for an:

Operations Manager / Shipping Operator (m/f/d)

This is a permanent position with long-term prospects in an international and dynamic environment.


  • Ensure efficient and reliable fleet operations in alignment with timetables
  • Monitor port turnaround performance and actively implement measures for continuous improvement
  • Optimize stowage planning and oversee cargo handling processes to minimize port stay durations
  • Maintain proactive communication with vessel crews, especially Captains and Chief Officers
  • Liaise with port authorities (port management) and other key stakeholders
  • Coordinate bunker supplies and organize timely delivery of essential ship provisions and services
  • Manage applications for shipping police permits and operational clearances

  • Completed studies and/or certificate as Navigational Watch Officer or comparable training
  • Previous experience in shipping operations, maritime logistics, or port coordination.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with vessel crews and shore-based partners
  • Solution-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Hands-on-approach, proactive attitude, and high attention to operational details
  • Proficient in English, additional language skills in German or Swedish are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel as required to vessels and ports
