Become a vital part of our operations as a Forklift Operator in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our warehouse and distribution center, ensuring that goods are moved efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trailers, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management tasks. A strong commitment to safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are key attributes for success in this position. Your expertise will directly impact our overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move and store materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and containers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Ability to handle manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Understand and apply principles of warehouse logistics for optimal workflow.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support team goals.
