As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your role is crucial to the smooth operation of our warehouse and the broader logistics network, ensuring materials are handled correctly and productively. You will be expected to maintain your equipment, adhere to all safety regulations, and utilize appropriate PPE at all times. - Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock organization.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all traffic rules and regulations within the facility.
- Ensure efficient and safe handling of all materials as part of our comprehensive logistics strategy.
Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience. Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment. Ability to perform moderate Lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds). Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles. Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic. This role requires a commitment to safety and operational excellence in a dynamic logistics setting.
