Our San Diego, California location is looking for energetic individuals to fill Picker/Packer positions. This role is crucial for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for locating items within our warehouse, verifying quantities, and carefully packing them for secure shipment. Exceptional attention to detail is a must to uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. As a key part of our logistics chain, your efficiency directly impacts our operational success. This role requires the ability to work at a brisk pace while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of provided PPE, is mandatory. This job requires significant time on your feet and the ability to lift moderate weights.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Verify product codes and quantities against pick lists or digital devices.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, fillers, tape) for each order.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during shipping.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier collection.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stockroom organization.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
