About
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy distribution center in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and products, move them to and from storage, and assist in order fulfillment. Your skill in maneuvering safely and efficiently will be critical to our Logistics operations. This role demands a strong focus on Safety, precision, and adherence to all operating procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Stack and retrieve products from storage racks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory adjustments.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking or stocking.
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support the Logistics team in achieving operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and labels.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Logistics industry.
