About
We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in our busy Detroit, Michigan warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves and meticulously packing them for shipment. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are processed quickly and correctly. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning technology to manage inventory and ensure order accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using order sheets or scanning equipment.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
- Keep the picking and packing areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and workflow.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
