The Marketing team are based at our Raunds office in Northamptonshire and work onsite 4 days a week with the other from home.
What you’ll be doing as a Graphic Designer:
- Working on a diverse range of design projects and disciplines, logo design, brand campaigns, point of sale, local marketing, events and internal PowerPoint presentations. - Support and deliver creative design concepts / design solutions which meet the brief requirements. - Working with the Senior Designer to find innovative and creative solutions to meet project requirements. As well as working independently and as part of the wider design team. - Strong attention to detail and excellent layout skills. Bringing ideas to a brief and brainstorming. Bringing fresh ideas with the ability to articulate them confidently. - Working with the brand guidelines when translated into concepts. - Managing the quality and input into the evolution of content, ensuring it develops in line with the development of the brand proposition and adheres to the brand guidelines. - Identifying and delivering the standard for content quality and that content produced is relevant to the channel and contributes towards product performance. - Ensuring Howdens is at the forefront in the marketplace of marketing content attracting more market share and improved customer and end consumer engagement. - Working alongside the artwork team to ensure creative is correctly artworked. - Organised, prioritising daily workload, managing multiple projects with a strong awareness of timings to deliver projects sometimes to tight deadlines.
What we are looking for from you:
- Proven commercial experience as a Graphic / Mid Weight Designer - Strong design experience across POS, local marketing, logos, events, and other printed media - Creative thinker with the ability to interpret briefs and deliver well‑considered concepts and design solutions - Drive and resilience to deliver against business and marketing objectives - Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment - Solid understanding of the print process - Experience taking designs through to final, print‑ready artwork - Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
