We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator in Columbus, Ohio, to support our busy warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, reliable, and proficient in operating various types of forklifts. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role is critical for the efficient flow of goods within our facility, ensuring materials are transported safely and accurately to their designated locations. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport materials within the warehouse, and assist with inventory management. Adherence to all safety procedures and guidelines is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately locating and moving stock.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Must be able to perform manual Lifting of items up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
- Understand and implement basic logistics principles for efficient material handling.
- Prioritize workplace safety in all tasks performed.
