About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Portland, Oregon! This position is key to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and support various warehouse functions. A strong emphasis on Safety and operational efficiency is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials within the facility.
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management and stock placement.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance operational skills.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safe material handling practices.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and overtime if needed.
