About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Your main responsibilities will include accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment. Efficiency, accuracy, and a commitment to safety are key to success in this role. You will be trained on our warehouse management system and equipped with the necessary tools and PPE to perform your duties safely and effectively. Responsibilities:
- Pick items accurately from inventory locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy against items picked and packed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet performance targets.
- Understand and follow all logistics procedures for order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous picking or packing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear designated PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management and ability to work efficiently.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
