About
Seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy facility in Seattle, Washington. This role is critical to the efficient flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized dock area. As a key member of our Logistics team, your attention to detail and commitment to Safety will be highly valued. This position involves a mix of physical tasks and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and labeling.
- Coordinate with carriers for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Operate forklift and pallet jack safely to move materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and dock area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels in the receiving and shipping areas.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall Logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications.
