About
We are looking for an experienced Picker/Packer to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for locating items in our warehouse, verifying their accuracy, and then carefully packing them for shipment. A high level of attention to detail is required to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, directly impacting the customer experience. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be expected to meet productivity goals while maintaining quality standards. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of provided PPE, is mandatory. This job involves standing, walking, and regular lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick products from warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Inspect products for any defects or damage prior to packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product integrity during transit.
- Pack orders securely and neatly, optimizing box size and contents.
- Label packages correctly for shipping and prepare them for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail for order accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
