About
Our Jacksonville, Florida warehouse is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and processing all goods received. Your role is critical in ensuring that our inventory is correctly recorded and available for subsequent warehouse operations. You will verify incoming orders against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and ensure timely and accurate data entry into our system. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a strong commitment to Safety are paramount. This role requires individuals who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy in items and quantities.
- Inspect shipments for any damage and report discrepancies immediately.
- Enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with WMS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
