About
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to lead our warehouse operations. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods through our logistics center. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining productivity, upholding Safety standards, and achieving operational goals. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, including Fulfillment Associates, Order Pickers, and Material Handlers.
- Plan and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment and shipment.
- Implement and enforce all Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through effective cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
- Oversee the receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes within the logistics operations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order and all operational procedures are followed.
- Manage resources effectively, including labor and equipment, to meet operational demands and minimize costs.
- Resolve operational issues and conflicts promptly, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on Safety and productivity.
- Ensure all team members are capable of handling tasks including necessary Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to enforce Safety regulations and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Capacity to handle physical demands, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
