About
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 12-18 month contract to lead Oracle Cloud implementation initiatives for our clients. This is a high-impact role where you'll drive enterprise cloud deployments, align cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.
*Contract Type:* W2 (with benefits) or 1099
*Rate:* $75 - $130/hour (depending on experience)
*What You'll Do*
*Project Leadership:*
* Lead end-to-end Oracle Cloud implementation projects from planning through go-live and stabilization
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports using tools like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Jira
* Facilitate stakeholder meetings and drive decision-making across Finance, IT, Operations, and executive leadership
* Manage scope, timeline, budget, and quality—keeping projects on track despite competing priorities
*Stakeholder & Change Management:*
* Align business and technical teams on requirements, approach, and success criteria
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, executive-ready communications
* Navigate organizational dynamics and resolve conflicts between stakeholders
* Drive adoption through effective change management and training coordination
*Risk & Quality Assurance:*
* Identify and mitigate project risks proactively—technical, organizational, and vendor-related
* Coordinate UAT (user acceptance testing), data validation, and cutover activities
* Manage issues, dependencies, and escalations with urgency and transparency
* Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements
*Vendor & Technical Coordination:*
* Partner with Oracle or system integrator consultants to ensure seamless delivery
* Coordinate with IT teams on integrations, infrastructure, security, and data migration
* Oversee release management and deployment activities across multiple environments
*Required Qualifications*
*Oracle Cloud Experience:*
* Led at least one full Oracle Cloud module implementation (Financials, SCM, HCM, or EPM)
* 5-7+ years managing enterprise software implementations or ERP projects
* Understanding of Oracle Cloud configuration, integrations, and deployment processes
*Project Management Expertise:*
* Proven track record managing $1M+ budgets and cross-functional teams (10+ people)
* Proficiency with SharePoint (document management, collaboration, project sites)
* Strong command of PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and when to apply each
* Experience with PM tools: Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar
*Communication & Leadership:*
* Executive-level communication skills—clear, concise, and confident
* Ability to influence without authority and build consensus across diverse stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
*Education *
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
*Experience *
* 3-5 years managing software development projects throughout the project lifecycle.
* Experience with software infrastructure and architecture including on-premise and cloud-based systems.
* Familiarity with enterprise software systems such as ERP, HCM, CRM, or other business applications.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* PMP certification
* Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud
* Familiarity with SQL, data migration tools, or Oracle integrations (OIC)
* Background managing projects with Big 4 consulting firms or system integrators
* Change management experience (Prosci ADKAR or similar frameworks)
