Position Summary:
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
• Supervises activities related to the development and management of an organization's supply chain.
• Oversees the work of a team that coordinates the movement of raw materials, in process goods or completed merchandise.
• Administers strategies meant to optimize organizational inventory levels and support organizational business objectives.
• Forecasts demand or predicts inventory needs based on analysis of historical data.
• Maintains contact with vendors and submits purchase orders or requisitions in order to ensure a continuous supply of goods.
• Uses working knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices.
• Responsible for department safety and training.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees.
• Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance or disciplinary actions.
