Koch Air is seeking a Controls System Engineer. Our Controls System Engineers provide controls system support including but not limited to assisting in control product and systems sales, take offs, estimating, project management, install, commissioning, field service and training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties in accordance with Koch Air and Koch Enterprises Code of Conduct, Values, Ethics, Environmental, Safety, and Human Resources policies Perform controls sales support for all territories to both maintain existing customers and develop new customers. This includes take-off and estimations/proposal generation. Support projects with O&Ms and all manuals, start-up check list & documentation, remote monitoring and support. Perform controls warranty service, installation of controls on an occasional basis for specific targeted customers and document all calls with service tickets and electronic tools. Process tickets for billing service calls/upgrade services on sites. Perform on-site programming and diagnostics for various types of Building Automation Systems. Perform on-site commissioning, start-up, and verification of controls and systems. Perform end-user training on the full range of controls products. Perform Contractor Training both in our office and remotely with a hands-on approach helping our contractor to be competitive in the marketplace. Project management of controls and systems projects. Be an active member of the Koch Air & Koch Applied Solutions team in its entirety, which includes customer training, controls technician training, engineer training, participation in the overall bid process, and attendance and participation in company meetings. Keep current with Carrier Control technology, business trends, and upcoming innovations to provide the most complete support possible. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2-year degree at technical college/college. Ability to use PC, Microsoft Office suite and publishing software proficiently and have knowledge of Information Technology Systems. Experience with building automation and controls systems programming, diagnostics, and function Understanding of HVAC systems related to controls system operation including ability to formulate sequence of operations documentation KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Must be responsive to customers and exhibit a service and sales attitude and be pro-active in solving customer issues. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal required. Knowledge of programming, Information Technology, controls, CCTV, and HVAC. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, but mostly sedentary work. Computer and phone use for extended periods of time. Jobsite visits including climbing ladders, long periods of standing, all weather and environmental conditions
