Responsibilities
:
Day to day: we sold a product based on a rendering of a 3D model. We install it on locomotives. We are taking this end application and making it production worthy but we have references that know the concept works but now we have to make it. BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering 2-5 years' experience in similar role Experience in designing and testing electrical subsystems and system integration Experience in technologies (as applicable)
Electrical:
Hardware design including circuits for: embedded DC/DC power supplies, digital and analog inputs/outputs, embedded microcontroller interfaces, serial communications protocols, and modems Printed circuit board assembly and layout design BOM ownership Wiring harnesses, cabling, and electronics packaging Basic proficiency at programming languages (preferred) such as C, C++, C#
Electronic Design Automation Tool Experience: Altium Designer (preferred), Cadence OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, KiCAD
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Familiar with layouts, don't need to do pcb layouts 2-5 years experience (ideally doing digital/analog design from scratch, can look at someone who is doing edits or hardware testing who has Altium from school, don't rule them out) Need pcb design skills -altium preferred
Plus Haves:
Programming experience is a plus (firmware on microchip, ti, atmel) Rtos nalog (power supplies)
