About
Responsibilities
Assist in creating and modifying engineering drawings using CAD software.
Support product design, prototyping, and testing activities.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on improvements.
Help prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
Work with teams in Kaizen events to produce new processes to improve workflow.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure design feasibility.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Must have an eager attitude to learn and develop new skills
Must be willing to be hands on with projects
Must be willing to be forklift trained
Ability to interact with peers and subordinates.
Mechanical aptitude.
Working knowledge of:
o Blueprints
o Manufacturing processes
o Lean Methodologies
o Process design
o 6S practices
Must have excellent communication skills including written (email correspondence, report writing, etc.) as well as formal and informal presentation skills.
A solid understanding of process flow, process design, and lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with 3D modeling and simulation tools.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.
Must align with the Snap-on “Who We Are” Mission statement.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
