Job Responsibilities:
Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and design intent to create accurate fabrication drawings. Create engineering drawings for shop processes such as CNC, Stain, Metals, Upholstery, Solid Surface, Millwork, Fiberglass Departments Create documentation for job install phases including install drawings and hardware/material lists. Modify existing drawings and models from a library of established designs and by studying changes; redrawing requirements; changing identifications as required to make drawings ready for production. Train to be able to program a Router CNC using Router-CIM software for onsite fabrication. Collaborate with project managers, estimators, Interior Design, Sales, Purchasing, and Production Teams to ensure feasibility and efficiency. Review, select and order appropriate materials and hardware on project requirements and confirm accuracy of the product before issuing. Maintain drawing standards and documentation for internal and client use. Continuously improve design processes and contribute to innovation in millwork engineering. Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in millwork, cabinetry, or architectural woodworking design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor. Construction minded and ability to think in 3D. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, and material properties. Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction documents. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing workflows. Epicor/ERP experience is a plus. Benefits:
