What will you be doing?
As Spade's founding Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical expert ensuring our customers successfully implement and scale with our API. You'll work at the intersection of product, sales, and customer success to solve complex technical challenges and drive customer value. You will: Partner with sales and account management teams to address technical questions throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales discovery to post-launch optimization Audit each implementation to ensure best practices, optimal performance, and adherence to Spade's standards for quality and reliability Build custom tooling and automation that accelerates customer time-to-value and scales both internal operations and customer workflows Manage and optimize file transfer processes across multiple methods (SFTP, S3, Snowflake Sharing/Exchange) to ensure reliable, high-volume data delivery Review and improve API documentation for simplicity and usability, ensuring technical resources are clear and actionable for diverse customer audiences Generate product ideas informed by customer implementations that drive increased volume and faster time-to-value, translating technical insights into product roadmap priorities What experience, skills, and qualifications are necessary? Must have:
Based in NYC At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Implementation Engineer, Forward-Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Management, etc.) At least 2 years of experience in fintech or financial services Deep knowledge of REST APIs, and ability to build lightweight integrations and guide customers through the integration process Hands-on technical experience, including comfort with common command line tools and workflows and experience building/automating workflows with customers Ability to manage various methods of file transfers at scale (SFTP, S3, Snowflake Sharing/Exchange, etc.) Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Salary Range: At Spade, we view total compensation as consisting of salary + equity + benefits. We recruit motivated and high performing talent, and work to compensate people in line with the value they bring to our team. We aim to pay fairly and competitively, and consider a number of factors in developing compensation offers. These factors include years and breadth of experience, interview performance, market dynamics, and internal equity. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $160,000, with an OTE between $215,000 and $230,000. An equity grant will also be provided.
