Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Engineer Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL .

This position will act as a CPLM Liaison across multiple engineering disciplines, help extend the digital thread and standup a digital twin. This position pushes innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances within a diverse team of individuals. Candidate will interface with a matrixed, cross-disciplined team, Program Leadership and the Customer on a regular basis.

  • Technical proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management tools and requirements.
  • Analytical thinking: Use analytical thinking skills to solve complex problems within processes and help the team minimize risks.
  • Business acumen: Good understanding of the business and industry in which the team operates to be able to align team goals with business objectives.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Use problem-solving and data-driven approaches to identify and resolve issues and make informed decisions that align with the goals of the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience
