About
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This critical leadership role will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and Safety in all logistics activities. You will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of productivity and organization within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
- Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and improve productivity within the logistics department.
- Maintain a strong focus on Safety, ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and company Safety policies.
- Conduct regular Safety training and reinforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among staff.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee cycle counting procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Operate or oversee the operation of warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to Safety standards.
- Address and resolve operational issues and employee concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage the efficient use of warehouse space and resources.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, motivating the team to achieve operational excellence and meet performance targets.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, managing Lifting and handling procedures appropriately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Safety best practices.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Ability to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Familiarity with equipment operation and maintenance.
- Capacity to handle managerial responsibilities and make sound decisions.
- Ability to direct and oversee tasks involving Lifting and material handling.
