We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, and staging incoming inventory, as well as preparing outgoing shipments. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety. You will be working closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow and timely fulfillment of orders. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable with manual labor and can maintain a high level of productivity throughout their shift. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Identify and sort materials for proper storage or distribution.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all housekeeping standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE is required.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
