Join our vibrant team in San Diego, California, as a Material Handler and contribute to the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art warehouse. We are looking for a reliable and physically capable individual to manage the movement and organization of materials throughout our facility. Your role will involve operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods. You will be responsible for organizing inventory, ensuring proper storage, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks. This position is physically demanding and requires significant Lifting capabilities. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety , and you will be required to strictly follow all established protocols and wear the designated PPE at all times. Understanding the flow of goods within our Logistics operation is key to optimizing efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE .
- Understand and support the Logistics flow of materials.
- Perform manual Lifting as required, up to 60 lbs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform rigorous physical duties, including frequent Lifting and carrying.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the use of PPE .
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in various temperature conditions.
