Our Houston, Texas facility is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our dedicated logistics team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be instrumental in the initial processing of all incoming materials, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Safety standards. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against documentation, inspecting for damage, and preparing goods for internal distribution or storage. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload deliveries from various carriers.
- Inspect all incoming freight for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately count and verify items received against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory items appropriately.
- Communicate discrepancies or issues to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform occasional manual Lifting of packages up to 50 pounds.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory control role is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform occasional Lifting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
