About
Join our robust logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to handle the movement of goods within our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials, ensuring efficient and safe warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse, including staging and storage zones.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by ensuring items are placed in their correct locations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and logistics best practices.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety vests, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workflow and potential hazards.
- Participate in other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and forklift operation best practices.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
