About
We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee daily operations at our Grand Rapids, Michigan warehouse. This position involves supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining a high standard of safety and productivity within our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates.
- Plan and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and on time.
- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and report any issues.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or a degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or a coordination role is essential.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to identify and resolve operational issues effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and requirements, including PPE usage.
- Capability for lifting up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
