About
We are looking for a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our growing logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is critical for accurately processing all incoming shipments, ensuring that our inventory is up-to-date and ready for distribution. You will be responsible for inspecting goods, verifying documentation, and maintaining an organized receiving area. If you have a strong eye for detail and enjoy a fast-paced warehouse environment, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments, ensuring safe handling of all materials.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists.
- Inspect all received products for any damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities, including quantities, lot numbers, and serial numbers, in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label and tag inventory according to established procedures.
- Stage received goods for put-away or direct distribution.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and issues.
- Assist with cycle counting and physical inventory as required.
- Process returns and damaged goods according to company policy.
- Contribute to the efficiency of overall warehouse logistics.
- Apply correct Lifting techniques to prevent injury.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse receiving position is strongly preferred. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Must possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in basic computer skills and data entry. Experience with WMS and RF scanning equipment is a plus. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to wear required PPE. Good communication skills are essential for interacting with various stakeholders in the logistics chain.
