Our dynamic distribution center in Washington, D.C. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the efficient flow of goods through our facility, ensuring that products reach their destinations accurately and on time. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Accurately stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all **safety** protocols.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including **PPE** requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives and support overall **logistics** operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Experience with warehouse equipment is a plus. Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy **Lifting** (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods. A commitment to **safety** and a willingness to learn are essential. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
