About
We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our busy warehouse in Des Moines, Iowa. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive their correct products in a timely manner. You will work with a scanner and RF technology to locate and pick items, ensuring accuracy and speed. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products according to order tickets or RF scanner instructions.
- Pack and prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper handling.
- Stage orders for loading onto trucks.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming inventory.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or similar role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse scanning technology is a plus.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory principles.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
