We are actively recruiting a certified Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse operations in Austin, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement of materials within our logistics facility. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. Safe and efficient operation of machinery is paramount. You will be expected to conduct pre-operational checks on your forklift to ensure it is in good working condition. This role requires a valid forklift certification and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. The job involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds, and the operation of heavy machinery. You must strictly adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and general safety guidelines to prevent accidents. This is a key position within our distribution network, and we value team players who are reliable and possess excellent operational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of forklifts and a solid grasp of logistics processes. We are committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and put-away tasks, involving lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and forklift operation best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Awareness of PPE requirements and commitment to safety.
- Experience with logistics and material handling.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
