We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse facility. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of various warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery. Ensuring all equipment is in safe and efficient working order is paramount to our operations. You will perform routine inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and execute necessary repairs. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The role involves moderate to heavy lifting, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. A commitment to workplace safety and efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment is essential. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the warehouse team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inventorying spare parts, and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on warehouse machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of parts.
- Provide support to warehouse staff on equipment operation and safety.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required, including moderate lifting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
