About
Our growing logistics operation in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and repair our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. This critical role ensures the smooth and safe operation of our facility, contributing directly to the efficiency of our logistics chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of warehouse machinery, including conveyors, forklifts, sorters, and automated systems. A keen understanding of Safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) is essential, as you will be working with potentially hazardous machinery. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage repair schedules, and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities. Occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required when handling parts or performing inspections. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (conveyors, forklifts, sorters, etc.).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems before they occur.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support the overall Logistics operations by minimizing equipment downtime.
- Assist with parts inventory management.
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of warehouse machinery.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
- Experience in the Logistics industry is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting .
