We are seeking a motivated and efficient Order Picker to join our vibrant logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your responsibilities will include navigating our warehouse to locate specified items, carefully picking them, and preparing them for the packing process. This role demands a high level of accuracy, speed, and physical stamina. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will play a crucial part in our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure precision.
- Stage picked items for the packing department.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and best practices for lifting.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity goals for picking.
- Report any issues or discrepancies encountered to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is highly valued.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Must be capable of frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Willingness to strictly follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
